   Karen Knowlton’s law practice includes commercial real estate, commercial lending, transactional law, and general business representation.  Karen has over 25 years of experience which began with a national healthcare company based in Birmingham, Alabama.  Prior to joining DLB, Karen practiced law with several reputable Birmingham, AL based law firms focusing on real estate, commercial lending and finance.
 

 Karen has broad experience with a variety of commercial real estate acquisitions and commercial lending transactions including retail, office, multi-family and senior housing, medical office buildings, and aviation and surface transportation.  Her general business representation spans from choice of business entity, mergers and acquisitions, contract negotiations, to claims management issues arising in day-to-day business operation.
